AIRLINES CLEARING HOUSE, INC., an airline-owned not for profit corporation provides an inexpensive facility for expediting clearance and net settlement, four times each month, of interline accounts receivable with participating air carriers and airline related companies worldwide.  In addition, through an interclearance arrangement between ACH and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Clearing House, participants in one clearinghouse are able to net settle interline accounts with participants in the other.  In 2010 ACH participants cleared over $12 billion in receivable billings through the ACH. ACH contracts with a major banking institution, “the Clearing Bank”, to provide the services and assurances, through FDIC regulations, that participants' funds are safe.
